Who operates Joseph’s Coat?

Joseph's Coat is an independent, nonprofit, 501(c)(3) agency.  Although we receive support from many philanthropic partners throughout the community, we are a self-sustaining organization.

Do I need a referral to shop at Joseph's Coat?

No; anyone who presents a photo ID at our sign-in desk may shop at Joseph's Coat.

Is there a charge for the things at Joseph's Coat?

No; all items available in the store have been received as donations which we pass on at no charge to our guests.

Does Joseph’s Coat provide food?

Joseph's Coat is not a food shelf but will help its guests identify and locate food resources, if needed.

How do I value my goods donations for tax deduction purposes?

The donor is responsible for determining the value of their individual donation.  IRS Publication 561 “Determining the Value of Donated Property” may provide some useful information.  www.irs.gov/publications/p561/index.html
